The Pokerstars Evening

I consider myself to be an average Poker player, who hasn’t gone beyond the Online leagues. I was super excited to get an invite to interact and play with Aditya Agarwal,  one of the best Poker player in the World.

Cool People Wear Dark Glasses 🙂
Maybe Harish cracked a joke.

His story is pretty much inspiring for Traders & Punters like me ,  He has been playing World Series Professional Poker since he was 21 and still in the Game.

Poker player Aditya Agarwal spent his childhood and school years in Darjeeling, India. He moved to the US to study at Drexel University, first enrolling for a degree in Engineering, before switching to Marketing. Just like students at every other college across America in 2003, Aditya and his peers saw poker being played on yeboyescasino.co.za and on TV for millions of dollars, and they wanted in on the action. By the time Aditya graduated, he was already a full-time poker pro.

What I really liked about his Poker strategy was to go slow, wait for your Good Cards and Not play every round for the sake of Playing or Playing and then hoping and praying .

This rang a Bell and reminded me of something what I do on a regular basis..Trading.

I would definitely consider Poker a must do activity for Trader’s along with Yoga and Meditation… Just like Trading Poker is  an ultimate Mind Game of Money.

Poker can in my opinion can definitely make you a better trader.

The beautiful thing about Trading is that you never have to trade when you don’t have great  cards (great trade setup).

Both  are about Risk Management, Understanding your environment, Staying in the Game and going for the kill when your chips are good while being cool & humble  about it.

Poker Hand Rankings

I personally believe that Poker will go a long way in India,  Reforms and legislation will happen soon, Tourism and Entertainment needs a fillip.

Million of Indians head to Macau, Singapore, Las Vegas to play and enrich foreign government in Taxes while India struggles for Tourism .

I’m Bullish on Change, After All aren’t we are a Nation with a really long history of gambling.

Poker Hacks being discussed.
Game On….

Stock Market Tips & LifeHacks

Stock Market

Kindly follow—-
(1) Never place order without SL
(2) Never do average, great chances are there to multiply your losses.

(3) Never reenter into same script instantly on same day, wait and avoid to enter.

(4) Once in any trade SL hit on any of order ,please wait for a while, relax ,and than do your business as normal but don’t place order in panic to recover loss instantly. Of is a game of wrestling,so that you can do counter attack because it is a market and nothing is in your hand to keep market movements, you can just watch it and act under favorable conditions only.

(5) Avoid put/call trading unless you are really good enough to handle it and understand this game, otherwise you will be always at loss.

(6) For good tension free return regularly, buy good scripts at lower level ,wait for while and sell at reasonable profit level without waiting for more and more higher level unless you decided to hold the same permanently

( 7) Enjoy your family life to refresh your self for next shoot in market. So don’t be addict of daily trading, but make it a hobby and game to play fairly with SL ,

Thanks ,today is Saturday ,so enjoy family life .

P.S Whatsapp Forward.

Playing the Game….

1990
Got addicted to  Stock market game called StokMark on the BBC Micro computer.

1994 Harshad Mehta Era
Invested and followed the markets like hell, was in 10th Std invested uncles 40k, ran a small fund in school, lost most of it primarily in ITC Agro, spent 2 years kinda repaying it.

1999-2000  Ketan Parekh Boom
Din’t participate in the Rally, watched the game from the boundary & besides had no money to invest.

2003
Rally with no name, Lets call it the Rakesh Jhunjhunwala Era or India Shining Rally.
Started investing when the Index was at 3000, was part of the Dot Com Burst invested mostly in Penny stocks & Financial Technology (@20) , Index fell to 2500…Lost a bit initially

2004
Did some Program Trading with a Friend at a Stock Broker, did volumes of 4 cr.. due to some wrong calculations and bugs lost around 50k

2005
Cleared entire portfolio at 6000,  7000, 9000..before every minor correction, Got lucky with Financial Technology, Sold it &  invested in Real Estate just before the Property Rally.

2006
Moved all investment to Commodities, Lost 1.5 lakhs moved back to Stocks when index was at 9000.

2007
Removed a big chunk in 2007 for wedding and repaying of Credit cards.

2008
Didn’t sell portfolio when the index hit 21000, moved to a new job, sold some stock to pay credit card debts, continue to hold most of it ( Compulink, Forbes & Mcdowells), Portfolio down by half.

I think I can wait for a year or two 🙂

I still think Equities are still the best & fastest legally one can make large sums money and aim at fulfilling their dreams quickly , this is primarily what drives millions in India to invest inspite of the dangers and risks both known and unknown…

Today people might say WTF, but when a few people start investing and a few matkas happen , the Mania will start all over again with a new idea, new names , new strategy, new players etc etc ..

Like the Old Lady of BoriBunder says “What a Game, Majaa aaya na”
